The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the dates for the SSC MTS 2023 recruitment. The online application process will commence on 18-01-2023, and the last date to apply online is 24-02-2023 up to 23:00 Hrs. The last date for making online fee payment is 26-02-2023 up to 23:00 Hrs, and the last date for generating offline Challan is also 26-02-2023 up to 23:00 Hrs. The last date for payment through Challan (during working hours of Bank) is 27-02-2023. The ‘Window for Application Form Correction’ and online payment of Correction Charges will be from 02-03-2023 to 03-03-2023 up to 23:00 Hrs. Below are the eligibility conditions required to apply for Staff Selection Commission MTS & Havaldar Recruitment.

A candidate must be either:

1. a citizen of India, or
2. a subject of Nepal, or
3. a subject of Bhutan, or
4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC MTS & Havaldar Recruitment 2023 Syllabus Details

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts recruitment for Group C posts such as Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) in different states and union territories, and Havaldar (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission) which is a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) under the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. The selection process for these posts includes a Computer Based Examination and a Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) stage which is only applicable for the Havaldar post. The syllabus for the SSC MTS vacancies include topics such as Numerical and Mathematical Ability, which covers questions on Integers and Whole Numbers, LCM and HCF, Decimals and Fractions, Fundamental Arithmetic Operations and BODMAS, Percentage, Ratio and Proportions, Work and Time, Simple Interest, Profit and Loss, and more. The exam also includes questions on Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving, which tests the candidate’s general learning ability based on topics such as Alpha-Numeric Series, Coding and Decoding, Analogy, Following Directions, and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
